![]() Cristina Padma Sánchez Juárez Heres Partner Throughout her career, Ms. Sánchez Juárez has been involved, with all kinds of corporate matters, administrative proceedings, including public bids, acquisitions, energy law and environmental issues. This has allowed her to have an integral vision of transactions and procedures, a skill that was reinforced during her master degree, where she analyzed scientific, legal, economic, social and management issues related to environmental matters in Spain and the European Union. Currently, she has focused her practice on environmental due diligence processes, of all industries, where she evaluates environmental compliance, identifies risks and proposes regularization strategies. Also, she is dedicated —as manager of Playa del Carmen offices, to providing legal advice in general, but specifically to the hospitality industry. Cristina Sánchez Juárez holds a Law Degree from Universidad La Salle (2001). Her thesis “Analysis of the disclosure principle in a public bid process” received an honorary mention. She completed a diploma course on Environmental Law at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (2002), as well as a Master Degree in Environmental Policy and Management at the Universidad Carlos III, Madrid (2003). During the latter, she worked for the National Parks Office of the Ministry of Environment of Spain, where she carried out studies related to the management of natural protected areas. She attended, among others, the seminar on Environmental law initiatives and regulatory improvements, offered by the Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados (2004). Before joining the firm, she worked at Noriega y Escobedo, A.C where she was also involved in foreign investment, antitrust and stock market issues. As a contributor to the Mexican magazine named El Mundo del Abogado, she has published four articles regarding environmental issues (2004). She is fluent in English and Spanish. |
