Maria del Mar Solórzano, has devoted her professional life to legal issues involving Environmen and Natural Resources. This has given her extensive experience in matters of Wildlife, Biosecurity, Water, Federal Maritime Zone, Forestry . Maria del Mar serves as counsel for administrative litigation and assists our clients during Industria Limpia, Non-Industrial (Tourism) Environmental Compliance and Environmental Excellence certification process under the Voluntary Environmental Audit Programs sponsored by the PROFEPA, the Mexican environmental enforcement agency. Maria del Mar obtained a law degree from the Centro Universitario México, División de Estudios Superiores (2002), with the thesis “Legal Regulation of Genetically Modified Organisms. She obtained a Diploma in the Legal Regime of the National Water organized by the Barra Mexicana de Abogados in coordination with the National Water Commission (2004); a Diploma in Environmental Law from the University Alliant and the Centro de Estudios Jurídicos y Ambientales (2005) and a Diploma in Business by the Canadian College in Vancouver, Canada (2007). Currently, she is enrolled in the last year of a Masters Degree Program in Environmental Consulting and Auditing offered jointly by the Iberoamericana Foundation and the University of Leon, Spain. Before joining our Firm, she worked in Ecoeficienca Ambiental in the area of voluntary environmental auditing and legislative analysis: Prior to that, she worked in in PROFEPA in the General Directions of Voluntary Environmental Audits; Wildlife, as well as of and Ports, Airports and Borders. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
