We have ample experience in renewables, environmental planning for wind, solar, hydro energy projects; Analysis the viability and management of CDM projects;
The firm has also elaborated several pre feasibility assessments in order to determine the technical and law feasibility of the project, as well as determine the possibilities to develop as a CDM project.
Likewise we work in the obtainment of any type of energy-environmental permits before, during the construction and in the operation stage, such as water, air, noise, environmental impact, hazardous waste, federal zones among others.
The firm represents our clients before the Ministry of Environmental and Natural Resources, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency, the National Water Commission, any type of Federal, State and Municipal Authorities, Non-Governmental Organizations, public and social sectors in projects that may give rise to controversy among the adjacent community. Before to the filling of any environmental impact assessment, we elaborate the presentations to be carried out before the environmental authorities to show the importance of the project at hand.
We have plenty of experience in the elaboration of environmental compliance reports of lender, banks of any multinational financial company involved, including international public hearings based upon World Bank guidelines or the equator principles; We also make the preparation of environmental comprehensive clauses to be included in the constructions agreements, in order to limit liabilities.
Moreover our founding Partner has actively participated with the Mexican Academy of Energy Law (Academia Mexicana de Derecho Energético “AMDE”); as a mean to contribute in the decisions taking and laws creation and modification in energy matters in Mexico. Currently our Humberto Celis Aguilar Alvarez is the President of the Academy.

Geothermal energy projects like other major projects face strict regulatory, water and permitting requirements; our firm has vast experience in solving said problems and helping our clients in the development of projects regarding the use of geothermal energy.
Likewise, we have wide-ranging experience in obtaining water for geothermal energy use as well as in the design of strategies for its adequate measurement, for its consumption report and water quality to optimize the payment of rights and avoid the initiation of expiring proceedings or the unnecessary costs. The Firm is as well familiar with the diverse complications that may bring any modification in the water concessions in order to avoid administrative proceedings that may derive in the voidance of the concession.
Hydro energy projects including those using oceanic or wave energy face a complicated series of water, federal zone, environmental impact, financing and permitting issues. Our firm has participated actively in the planning of a comprehensive social-environmental strategy in order to facilitate the development of projects including the obtainment of the corresponding federal zone concession weather it is on the side of a river or on the seaside, the water use concession, the environmental impact authorization and the different regulatory compliance reports that may be required by the authority to permit the development of the project or by the investors and banks to finance the projects.
